Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt

 

 

Sharm el Sheikh was built with divers in mind and has

developed into a thriving bustling Egyptian experience. 

 It is in fact now three areas:

 

1    Old Sharm - this is a busy market area,

 

2    Naama Bay - some of the main food and shopping areas; and

 

3    Nabq Bay - an up and coming area currently hotels, apartments, supermarkets and malls.

 

The properties in Naama Bay are dense with many hotels and restaurants, neon palm trees and sheeshas. 

 

The Egyptian authorities have learnt from this and Nabq Bay has started to develop within very strict guidelines.  This area is the location for some of the top five star hotels of the area.  The scenery is amazing with the Sinai mountains on one side and the Red Sea and island of Tiran on the other.

    

   

There are are two new supermarkets and some malls opening in Nabq town as well as places to eat and drink.

You will struggle to find information on when it rains in Sharm el Sheikh.  The place is addictive. (MJ)

I didn't want to go home, when I got home I just wanted to go straight back - in fact I still want to be by that pool. (ST)
