Egypt in brief

People have been visiting Egypt for a long time, attracted by treasures and pyramids as well as trade in many items.  Secrets were buried long ago in the sands; these are still revealing exciting and new ideas and information on an impressive past thousands of years later.  Egypt is still a land of mysteries.

The mountainous area is the Sinai Peninsula; this is where the commandments were born amongst other biblical stories (remember the parting of the sea from school). This area has been the gateway between Africa and Asia for a long time with a strategic position that has caused many conflicts.  The Red Sea splits into the Gulf of Suez on the left and the deeper Gulf of Aqaba on the right of the Sinai peninsula.

The population is mostly Bedouin, these tribes intermingle with Egyptians.  The areas are now popular with the divers of the world presenting some incredible wrecks and lots of amazing coral dive sites with the promise of many fish, turtles, dolphins and even sharks.  You can not fail to get away from the hustle and bustle of home.

The weather varies from warm to down right hot.
